Saint Preux vs. Latifi rebooked for UFC Orlando; Yahya-Doane added

Ovince Saint Preux's dance with Ilir Latifi is headed to his home state.

After an injury forced Latifi from their date at next week's UFC on FOX 27, the pair of light heavyweights will now square off at UFC on FOX 28 on Feb. 24 at Amway Center in Orlando, Fla., the promotion announced via Jay Reddick of the Orlando Sentinel on Wednesday.

Saint Preux had been willing to move up to heavyweight in order to remain on this month's bill, but appears to have heeded Latifi's request to give him a few weeks to recover. The 34-year-old Saint Preux now meets the Swede in his native Florida on a three-fight win streak, with all of those victories coming by stoppage within a seven-month span last year. He was last seen scoring a vicious third-round KO of Corey Anderson at UFC 217 in November.

Latifi's sole walk to the Octagon in 2017 came in September at UFC 215, where he handed prospect Tyson Pedro his first career loss with a unanimous decision. The 34-year-old heads to the Sunshine State with a promotional record of 6-3.

Also booked for the card is a bantamweight tilt between Rani Yahya and Russell Doane. Yahya most recently rebounded from a decision loss to Joe Soto with a quick tapout of Henry Briones at UFC Fight Night 114, while Doane last snapped a four-fight skid with a first-round TKO of Kwan Ho Kwak at UFC Fight Night 111 in June.

A main event has not yet been announced.
