Green vs. Koch among 3 fights added to UFC Charlotte

Bobby Green's business with Lando Vannata will have to wait.

Instead of meeting Vannata in a rematch after staging a Fight of the Year candidate that ended in a split draw at UFC 216, the Strikeforce alum will take on Erik Koch in a lightweight bout at UFC on FOX 27 on Jan. 27 at Spectrum Center in Charlotte. The matchup was one of three added to the bill this week.

Green will vie for a much-needed W at Koch's expense, having dropped three straight prior to October's barn-burner with Vannata. The 31-year-old last saw his hand raised in July 2014 at UFC on FOX 12, where he took a split decision over fellow Strikeforce standout Josh Thomson.

Koch has split four bouts since moving up from featherweight nearly four years ago, most recently dropping a lopsided verdict to Clay Guida at UFC Fight Night 112 this past June.

The bill will also see lightweights Jordan Rinaldi and Vinc Pichel look to hand Gregor Gillespie and Joaquim Silva, respectively, their first professional blemishes.

Middleweights and Strikeforce alumni Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza and Derek Brunson will clash in the main event.
