Report: Yamauchi re-ups with Bellator on long-term deal

Goiti Yamauchi is in it for the long haul.

The 24-year-old lightweight has inked a long-term deal to remain with Bellator, the promotion he's called home for four years, officials told MMA Fighting's Guilherme Cruz on Tuesday.

After going 5-2 as a featherweight, Yamauchi emerged as a dark horse at 155 pounds with three straight first-round submissions over 11 months in his new weight class. He was last seen handing Adam Piccolotti his first professional loss with a rear-naked choke at Bellator 183 last month.

Yamauchi's next fight hasn't yet been scheduled.
