Holm shuts down Cyborg's claims of unequal drug testing

Holly Holm has been dragged into Cris Cyborg's crosshairs, and she's none too pleased about it.

Cyborg took aim at the former UFC women's bantamweight champ on Monday with a series of tweets in which she alleged the USADA had unfairly tested herself more than Holm ahead of their potential December bout at UFC 219. Cyborg even demanded that she and Holm be treated to an equal number of visits from the UFC's anti-doping partner.

The Brazilian's newest outburst prompted Holm to (begrudgingly) issue a rebuttal via Instagram on Tuesday. The Jackson's MMA member revealed she's in fact been tested nine times to Cyborg's eight and included a pair of screenshots of the USADA's records to bolster her response.

"So apparently there was a little bit of drama today because USADA went to Cyborg’s house and I know I’ve been the topic of interest a lot on her social media and I don’t mind fighters trying to promote fights, that’s fine, but let’s be real for a minute," Holm said, per MMA Fighting.

"She said she’s been tested by USADA and wants to be tested just as much, and she probably should have looked on their public records on the USADA web page and seen I’ve been tested nine times compared to her eight. I’m in no race, I really don’t care, I just know I compete clean and they test me all the time. So, I just never needed an applause for passing my tests. In the meantime, I’ll just spend my time training and she can spend her time complaining and making false accusations and false memes."

The good news is, Holm could very well settle her brewing rivalry with the featherweight queen in the Octagon, as UFC president Dana White recently said he's optimistic the matchup will materialize during the UFC 216 postfight presser.
