Johnson breaks UFC title defense record with stunning tapout of Borg
Demetrious Johnson entered a class of his own on Saturday, and he had a grand old time doing it.
The flyweight king transitioned from a suplex to an armbar that submitted Ray Borg for a UFC-record 11th straight title defense in the fifth round of the co-main event of UFC 216 in Las Vegas.

Johnson came into the bout sharing the record with former middleweight king Anderson Silva, but cemented his status as the world's greatest fighter in four-ounce gloves with a dominant showing that extended his unbeaten run to 14 fights spanning over five years.
The 31-year-old treated Borg to a schooling, whether the action was on the feet or the mat. The challenger aimed to pressure Johnson in the striking and initiate the grappling exchanges, only for the champ to create a scramble and end up in the dominant position every time. Even when Borg seized control of his back early in Round 2, Johnson - cool as a cucumber - literally shrugged him off and resumed his beating.

Working from guard, full mount and side control, Johnson peppered Borg with strikes when he wasn't angling for submissions, and had outlanded the 24-year-old by a gaudy, unofficial count of 73-2 through two rounds.

Despite Borg's valiant efforts to stay in the fight, the champ's rout went on uninterrupted until - in a true testament to his otherworldly abilities - he slapped on the fight-ending submission mid-slam with 1:45 to go in the bout.
Borg sees a two-fight win streak snapped and his UFC record fall to 5-3 with the first stoppage loss in his 14-fight career.
