Carlos Condit isn't ready to hang 'em up just yet.

After openly contemplating retirement following a submission loss to Demian Maia in August 2016, the former UFC interim welterweight champion took to Twitter on Tuesday to ask matchmaker Sean Shelby for a dance partner in either December or January:

Condit's tapout loss to Maia came seven months after a heartbreaking defeat in an instant classic with then-champion Robbie Lawler at UFC 195. The pair of bouts capped a rough stretch comprising five losses in seven for the fan favorite.

The 33-year-old had cited cumulative damage accrued over his 15-year career as his reason for flirting with retirement, but didn't offer so much as an inkling regarding his future until Tuesday's development. Despite his inactivity, Condit remains a fixture in the UFC's welterweight rankings, where he sits in the No. 7 spot.

His promotional and professional records stand at 7-6 and 30-10, respectively.
