For most boxers, the week leading up to a big fight is spent intensively preparing their body and mind for 12 rounds of combat.

Well, for Floyd Mayweather, final preparations for Saturday's superfight against Conor McGregor are unfolding in a slightly more unconventional way.

Mayweather told MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani that he's spending much of the week leading up to the bout at his gentlemen's club in Vegas.

"I was here Sunday, Monday we wasn’t open, I was here Tuesday, it’s Wednesday, technically Thursday and I'm here," Mayweather said.

Ever confident in himself, Mayweather shot down critics who've suggested time away from the gym would negatively impact his ability to come out on top Saturday night.

"Well the last time I checked, those someones are not undefeated, so, it’s obvious I know what it takes to win us a fight of this magnitude."

Mayweather also reiterated his doubts that McGregor will be able to make weight.

"It's 4 o'clock in the morning," Mayweather said. "I'm pretty sure Conor McGregor is trying to make weight, and I’m on weight and I’m ready. He better be trying to get his weight down cause my weight is down.

" … I ain't worried about that. I'll eat a Big Mac, eat a Whopper, probably eating pizza."

While pizza and burgers at the gentleman's club may not sound like the ideal scenario for pre-fight training, it's exactly where Mayweather wants to be.

"You already know, ass, titties, pussy, liquor, music, will never go out of style. … Women will never go out of style, especially pretty women."
