Cormier can't remember 10 minutes after being KO'd by Jones

Daniel Cormier has little recollection of the events that transpired immediately after his loss to Jon Jones at UFC 214 in July.

The fight was stopped with Jones raining down punches on Cormier as he laid on the mat after being dropped by a head kick. The former light heavyweight champion was then interviewed in-ring by Joe Rogan, despite the fact he was believed to have sustained a concussion.

Cormier confirmed the belief in an interview with Ariel Helwani on "The MMA Hour" on Monday.

"I'm still missing time. I don't remember any of that. I don't remember leaving the Octagon," Cormier said. "I'm missing probably 10 minutes.

"I mean, if I can't remember 10 minutes, I'm pretty sure I had a concussion. I just don't recall those 10 minutes and I'm not exactly sure that I'm ever going to get that time back."

He also made no apologies for shedding tears in the ring after the loss.

That kind of humanity led Jones to heap compliments on his opponent in the days after the fight, but Cormier said he isn't so sure he can look past the bitter feud that consumed much of the past two years.

"To think that all the bad things that have been said and all the negative comments towards each other could just be completely gone would be unrealistic," he said. "But in terms of co-existing in this sport, we have to. How can I not see or be around Jon Jones when (our) jobs are so closely tied to the UFC. In that sense, I will be a professional."
