Friend says Matt Hughes recovery pace 'nothing short of a miracle'

Matt Hughes appears to be doing well on his road to recovery two months after a collision with a train put him in a coma, according to friend Tony Zucca.
Zucca posted on Instagram on Sunday with a photo of Hughes in a wheelchair out in public and provided a positive update on the former welterweight champion.
The update was in line with Hughes' previous progress report, as retired fighter Pat Miletich said on July 24 that the UFC Hall of Famer was out of his coma and surprising doctors with his recovery pace. Miletich also said at the time that only family was allowed to see Hughes, but it appears he's doing well enough to see friends and leave the hospital.
