Two fighters in need of a win have verbally agreed to meet in the cage.

Veteran Nik Lentz tweeted Monday morning that he and Will Brooks have agreed to fight on Oct. 7 at UFC 216 in Las Vegas and are merely waiting to put pen to paper.

The two lightweights are seeking to rebound from recent defeats.

Lentz's last bout came on Feb. 11 at UFC 208 where he lost by decision to Islam Makhachev.

Meanwhile, Brooks is on a two-fight losing streak, having been defeated by Alex Oliveira by TKO in October of last year and stopped by Charles Oliveira via submission at UFC 210 in April.
