Jon Jones is back at the top of the charts.

The UFC's official contender rankings were updated Tuesday and "Bones" reclaimed the No. 1 spot among light heavyweights. Like every titleholder, divisional champion Daniel Cormier sits in a separate spot atop the list.

Jones was removed from the rankings altogether last July after being flagged by USADA for the use of banned substances, a situation that also cost him an interim belt. Prior to that, his involvement in a hit-and-run case led to him losing the undisputed belt that now rests around Cormier's waist.

The USADA and the Nevada State Athletic Commission would both later decide that Jones' failed test was the result of a tainted sex pill, and he was given a one-year suspension that ended this month.

Not only is Jones back in the light heavyweight rankings, he was also given the No. 7 spot on the pound-for-pound list, which he ruled for a lengthy period of time before being suspended.

Jones has the opportunity to regain his reputation as arguably the world's greatest fighter when he challenges Cormier for the 205-lb championship at UFC 214 on July 29 in Anaheim. The two fought once before, with Jones winning a five-round unanimous decision.
