5 fighters facing 6-month medical suspensions for UFC Glasgow
Heavyweight Justin Willis and four other fighters could be sidelined with six-month medical suspensions after competing at UFC Fight Night 113 in Glasgow, Scotland on Sunday, according to UFC records obtained by MMAjunkie's Steven Marrocco.
The newcomer may have sustained a rib injury in his unanimous decision win over James Mulheron, but can be cleared to return sooner by a physician.
Also facing 180-day penances for a variety of injuries are the now-retired Neil Seery, Daniel Teymur, Brett Johns, and Amanda Lemos. Each fighter can get back in the saddle sooner with a doctor's blessing:
Medical suspensions are normally handled by athletic commissions, although the promotion takes on the responsibility when visiting a locale where MMA is not formally sanctioned.
