Cyborg 'would love' to fight Holm in 1st title defense
Cris Cyborg will likely never get to step into the Octagon with Ronda Rousey. Instead, she's eyeing Rousey's conqueror.
After finally earning UFC gold by beating Tonya Evinger at UFC 214 on Saturday, Cyborg said afterward that she "would love" to face Holly Holm in her first title defense as the women's featherweight champion.
"I would love to face Holly Holm, I think she was a great champion and fans would like to see us fight," said Cyborg, according to MMA reporter Damon Martin.
Due to Cyborg's dominance, there are few who would jump at the chance to face her. However, Holm rarely shies away from a challenge.
While Cyborg would be the favorite, Holm is a master counter-striker and could present the newly-crowned champ with a significant challenge.
