Pacquiao: McGregor has 'no chance' against Mayweather in 'boring' fight

Having been involved in a megafight with Floyd Mayweather himself, Manny Pacquiao can live without seeing another one.

The former eight-division champion was recently asked for his thoughts on the upcoming boxing match between Mayweather and UFC lightweight king Conor McGregor scheduled for Aug. 26, and his response was less than enthusiastic.

"McGregor has no chance in this fight," Pacquiao told Dan Wetzel of Yahoo! Sports. "In fact, it could be very boring."

Few experts are picking McGregor, given that he has zero professional fighting experience outside of MMA, while Mayweather is aiming to improve his boxing record to 50-0 with his next victory. Pacquiao was win No. 48 on Mayweather's resume, so he knows as well as anyone what a colossal task it is to try to defeat him.

Of far more interest to the 38-year-old Pacquiao is a middleweight title fight between Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez, which takes place three weeks after Mayweather-McGregor.

"The real fight and the best fight is Golovkin vs. Canelo," Pacquiao said. "The best versus the best. That's the fight I will be watching."

Pacquiao returns to action himself this Saturday when he defends the WBO welterweight title against Jeff Horn in Brisbane, Australia.
