UFC strawweight Amanda Ribas has been temporarily suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after testing positive for banned substance ostarine in a sample collected on June 7, MMA Fighting's Shaun Al-Shatti reported Monday.

Although the test was conducted by the USADA, Ribas was still subject to sanctions from the NSAC, as her ill-fated July date with Juliana Lima at the "TUF 25" finale was set to take place in Las Vegas. She will remain provisionally suspended by both bodies until her team and the USADA can determine whether a tainted supplement was responsible for the failed test, Al-Shatti reports, citing NSAC officials.

The 23-year-old Ribas' fight with Lima would have marked her UFC debut and ended a layoff dating back to May of last year. Tecia Torres will now fight the veteran in her stead on July 7 at T-Mobile Arena.
