Jones labels Gustafsson a 'dork' in heated Twitter exchange

Jon Jones has Alexander Gustafsson in his crosshairs.

Some pointed words Gustafsson issued following last week's dominant win over Glover Teixeira reached Jones' ears, prompting the former light heavyweight champion to rub the Swede's nose in his past failures to win the divisional strap.

"The Mauler" gave Jones his toughest test at UFC 165 before challenging Daniel Cormier two years later - falling short on the scorecards both times - and Jones didn't mince words in his assessment of Gustafsson's performances:

Jones took further umbrage with Gustafsson deeming him an unworthy champion - presumably due to his many trials outside the Octagon - although he did take a moment to congratulate his former foe on his engagement.

It didn't take long for Gustafsson to respond. The 30-year-old suspected Jones had been indulging in performance enhancing substances at the time of their spirited battle, and while he'd previously chosen Cormier to best Jones in their upcoming rematch at UFC 214, Gustafsson changed his pick hoping he and "Bones" would be able to run it back in the Octagon.
