The new and improved Peter Sobotta is a force to be reckoned with.

The 30-year-old German boosted his UFC record to 4-1 in his second stint with the promotion after a dominant performance against veteran welterweight Ben Saunders at UFC Fight Night 109 in Stockholm, Sweden on Sunday.

Sobotta rocked Saunders in Round 1 before connecting with a knee right up the middle that forced the stoppage at the 2:29 mark of Round 2.

It was all downhill for Saunders from the start, as Sobotta hurt him in the opening seconds and never let up, almost finishing the fight in the closing moments of Round 1.

Sobbota rocked Saunders once again in Round 2, then swarmed intelligently rather than risk walking right into a counter punch or gassing out:

A stunned Saunders eventually succumbed to his opponent's knee, putting a stop to a two-fight win streak and dropping the American to 7-5 across three stints with the UFC.
