Jack Hermansson put Sweden on the board in resounding fashion.

With two of his country's representatives (Nico Musoke and Reza Madadi) losing during the preliminary portion of UFC Fight Night 109, Hermansson took it upon himself to excite the hometown fans in Stockholm on Sunday with an absolute beatdown of Alex "The Spartan" Nicholson.

The 28-year-old middleweight needed just two minutes to take Nicholson down to the mat and finish him with ground-and-pound.

Hermansson flawlessly moved from side control to mount, and then to back control where he proceeded to throw punch after punch at a nearly defenseless Nicholson. Referee Bobby Rehman jumped in for the save at the 2:00 mark of Round 1.

With his first knockout win in the UFC, Hermansson has now seen his hand raised in 10 of his last 11 fights.

Nicholson fell to 1-3 inside the Octagon.
