Browne looks to snap skid vs. Oliynyk at UFC 213

Travis Browne is headed to Las Vegas in pursuit of a much-needed win.

"Hapa" will aim to snap a three-fight skid when he takes on submission artist Alexey Oliynyk in a heavyweight tilt at T-Mobile Arena on July 8 at UFC 213. The promotion confirmed the long-rumored matchup on Wednesday.

Once touted as a future title challenger, the 34-year-old Browne has dropped five of his last seven, and was most recently on the wrong end of a brutal knockout courtesy of Derrick Lewis at UFC Fight Night 105 in February.

Oliynik heads into the greatest challenge of his UFC career with a gaudy professional record of 51-10-1, with 42 of those victories coming by way of submission. The 39-year-old was last seen improving his promotional record to 3-1 by scoring the first win via Ezekiel choke in UFC history at Viktor Pesta's expense in January.

UFC 213 will be headlined by a rematch between women's bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes and Valentina Shevchenko, with Yoel Romero and Robert Whittaker clashing for an interim middleweight title in the co-main event.
