Conor McGregor could be adding to his hardware collection soon.
"The Notorious" and fellow UFC champion Demetrious Johnson both received 2017 ESPY nominations for Best Fighter on Wednesday. This is Johnson's first chance to hit the stage at the annual sports awards show hosted by ESPN, while McGregor actually won the Best Fighter ESPY last year.
McGregor and Johnson will be competing against boxing stars Andre Ward, Gennady Golovkin, and Terence Crawford.
In addition to trying to snag back-to-back Best Fighter awards, McGregor (Ireland) is also in the running for Best International Athlete alongside footballer Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal), Olympic gold medalists Usain Bolt (Jamaica) and Katinka Hosszu (Hungary), and boxer Canelo Alvarez (Mexico).
The 2017 ESPY Awards take place on July 12 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
