As if its featherweight division didn't boast enough talent already, the UFC has brought highly touted Russian prospect Zabit Magomedsharipov into the fold.
MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani reported the signing on Tuesday.
Magomedsharipov put himself on the UFC's radar by stopping all six of his opponents in Russia's Absolute Championship Berkut, and trains with promotional fixtures Frankie Edgar, Eddie Alvarez, and Edson Barboza under Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace Ricardo Almeida in New Jersey.
The 26-year-old Dagestani was last seen dispatching Valdines Silva by TKO in under two minutes last September. He heads to the world's leading promotion with an eight-fight win streak and a professional record of 12-1.
