Jon Jones isn't planning on losing his rematch with Daniel Cormier - in the Octagon or out of it.

Jones declared his aim to make Cormier "cry backstage, again" - referring to Cormier's reaction to losing at UFC 182 - as the light heavyweights' war of words boiled over from their press conference Wednesday to an interview on "UFC Tonight."

While Jones was speaking about his emotional control in the Octagon, Cormier tried interjecting a jab that didn't exactly land.

"I've always been the same guy when it comes fight night," Jones said, according to MMA Fighting's Danny Segura. "There is no nervousness, there are no butterflies, it's me doing what I feel God put me in this planet to do, which is to be a fighter.

"I don't have a commentating job or anything like that. My only passion is to be the greatest fighter ever and this is what I do. I go out there the same guy despite whether the guy was respectful or an asshole. I go out there and I focus on winning every time."

Cormier, who often works as a commentator for UFC on FOX, interrupted to note that Jones had tried his hand at the gig.

"He did try having a commentator job but he sucked at it," Cormier said. "Let’s be honest: You tried and you sucked at it. I saw you and you sucked, so shut up."

Armed with a devastating victory over Cormier, though, Jones had an insult ready to fire back.

"I'm going to tell you what I don't suck at and (that) is - I mean, you saw it, you were crying on Cain Velasquez's shoulder," Jones said. "Actually, you know what? I don't want a commentator job. I just want to make you cry backstage, again."

Cormier will have to wait until Saturday for his chance to appropriately respond.
