Garbrandt posts old photo of 'scumbag' Dillashaw in 'Team No Love' shirt
Cody Garbrandt isn't pulling any punches on TJ Dillashaw.
In the latest jab at his former teammate and soon-to-be opposing "TUF" coach and title challenger, "No Love" took to Instagram to post a throwback photo of simpler times, with he and Dillashaw looking chummy and sporting T-shirts bearing Garbrandt's nickname.
As if the last few weeks' worth of pot shots weren't enough, the reigning bantamweight champion hurled a few cuss words Dillashaw's way in the post's caption and promised to "expose" him on the upcoming season of the promotion's flagship show.
He may not boast the bubbliest of personalities or the wittiest of mouthpieces, but Dillashaw has gladly obliged Garbrandt with a war of words and beat his nemesis to the proverbial punch in a far less crass display of gamesmanship on Saturday.
The former champ left Sacramento-based gym Team Alpha Male on unenviable terms in late 2015, and while he remains friends with former teammate Chad Mendes, Dillashaw is clearly persona non grata in Garbrandt's book.
The pair of bantamweights will turn their mutual disdain up a notch, or three, in this season of "TUF: Redemption" - premiering on April 19 - before meeting in the Octagon at a yet-to-be-determined date.
