Anderson pummels O'Connell for 2nd-round TKO win
Corey Anderson celebrated a new nickname with an old-fashioned beatdown.
For the duration of their light heavyweight bout at UFC Fight Night 102 in Albany, N.Y. on Friday, "Overtime" used his dominating wrestling to pin Sean O'Connell to the mat before finishing with strikes at the 2:36 mark of Round 2.

Formerly known as "Beastin 25/8," Anderson's one-sided win helps him bounce back from a controversial split decision loss to Mauricio "Shogun" Rua this past May. The former "Ultimate Fighter" winner improves to 6-2 in the UFC.
Postfight, he called out the winner of a light heavyweight bout between Nikita Krylov and Misha Cirkunov that is scheduled to take place Saturday at UFC 206.
There was simply nothing that O'Connell could do to stop Anderson's wrestling. Anderson took O'Connell down early in the first and second round, easily transitioning to side control or half-guard where he could rain punches down on "The Real OC."

By the time the referee jumped in to save O'Connell, it was a mere formality. The TKO was the first finish for Anderson since July 2014.
O'Connell's Octagon record now sits at a dire 2-5 after losing his third straight fight.
