Michael Bisping was pushed to the limit in his first title defense and it looks like it could be a while before his next one.

The UFC middleweight champion received a 180-day medical suspension pending a CT scan of his face and head, per a list of suspensions for UFC 204 acquired by MMAjunkie. In his five-round unanimous decision win over Dan Henderson in the main event, Bisping also suffered a cut under his left eye that carries its own 60-day suspension with a 45-day no contact restriction.

Along with Bisping, six other fighters received six-month suspensions for the following injuries:

  • Ovince Saint Preux requires an X-ray on his left knee after it folded under him in ugly fashion following a knockout loss to Jimi Manuwa.
  • Short-notice replacement Russell Doane injured his elbow in a first-round submission loss to Mirsad Bektic.
  • Iuri Alcantara made short work of Brad Pickett, but will require an X-ray on his left elbow.
  • Davey Grant tapped out to an armbar from Damian Stasiak, but not fast enough to prevent a left elbow injury.
  • Danny Roberts will need clearance from an ophthalmologist after being knocked out by Mike Perry.
  • Adriano Martins hurt his left ankle in a three-round split decision loss to Leonardo Santos.

All seven fighters are eligible to have their medical suspensions lifted early with clearance from an appropriate physician.
