Patricio Freire will be on the couch for the next little while.
"Pitbull" took to Instagram to post an X-ray of the broken fibula that rendered him unable to continue his lightweight fight against Benson Henderson at Bellator 160 on Friday.
In the caption, Freire claims to have suffered the injury in the first round, and says he felt the broken bone move in his efforts to labor through the second. The bout, which he was winning, was declared a TKO victory for Henderson - his first since signing with the promotion in February.
The Brazilian's record stands at 25-4, while Henderson is set to face Michael Chandler for the division title on Nov. 19 in San Jose, Calif.
