Means brutalizes Homasi for TKO victory

"The Dirty Bird" made a mess of his opponent's face in the main-card opener of UFC 202 on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Competing for the first time since returning from a reduced suspension for a doping violation stemming from a tainted supplement, Tim Means let all of his frustrations out on Sabah Homasi. He painted the mat a deep shade of red with Homasi's blood en route to a merciful second-round stoppage due to strikes.

Means continues one of the best stretches in the welterweight division, winning his second straight fight and sixth in his last seven.

In the first round, it was Homasi wearing the proverbial crimson mask after he was sliced open by Means' razor-sharp elbows. The newcomer showed plenty of grit, but he was busted up badly by the more experienced Means.

Homasi was fighting on just 11 days notice, which may explain why he looked completely spent heading into the second frame. He wouldn't make it to a third.
