The UFC has confirmed Michael Bisping will defend the UFC middleweight title against Dan Henderson at UFC 204 on Oct. 8.

Bisping's opportunity at redemption against Henderson, long after a second-round knockout defeat at UFC 100, will take place in his native Manchester, England.

The big-ticket matchup marks Bisping's first opportunity to defend his belt since coming away with a shocking first-round win over Luke Rockhold on a short-notice title fight at UFC 199.

The Englishman enters his rematch with Henderson sporting a record of 29-7 and looking to come away with his fifth consecutive victory.

Henderson, meanwhile, has admitted that the upcoming bout could be the last of his Hall of Fame-caliber UFC career. A second win over Bisping, and his 33rd at the professional level, would fittingly allow him to retire as a champion.
