Nelson gets role in 'Kickboxer' film after VanZant drops out

When Paige VanZant informed the filmmakers of "Kickboxer: Retaliation" that she would be bowing out of the production to concentrate on her training, it left them with a casting dilemma.

After all, how do you replace a badass MMA fighter who also happens to have model good looks and mainstream recognition from a highly successful "Dancing with the Stars" run?

Enter: Roy "Big Country" Nelson.

While it's unclear exactly how Nelson's role is related to the one that VanZant was originally intended to play, he apparently received the call to join the cast of the rebooted Jean-Claude Van Damme film after VanZant became unavailable, according to TMZ Sports.

Nelson posted a picture of himself with JCVD on Facebook:

The burly heavyweight has little in common with VanZant, but it appears he's impressed the director enough to land himself an expanded role worthy of his infamous waistline.
