Suspects charged in fatal Jimmo hit-and-run

Two people are being charged in connection to the fatal hit-and-run of Ryan Jimmo, according to a release from the Edmonton Police on Wednesday.

The UFC fighter died on Sunday after he was struck by a vehicle in Edmonton, Alberta. He was 34 years old.

The suspects are Anthony Getschel, 23, and Jordan Wagner, 21.

Getschel is being charged with second-degree murder, criminal negligence causing death, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, and failure to stop at the scene of an accident involving death.

Wagner is being charged as an accessory to the murder.

The incident is believed to have occurred after Jimmo and the suspects were involved in an altercation.

Jimmo is best known for a seven-fight stint with the UFC in which he went 3-4.
