Dennis Bermudez sets world record for drinking lemon juice

Dennis Bermudez is the proud new holder of a rather odd world record.

The UFC featherweight broke a Guinness World record on Tuesday for the fastest time drinking one liter of lemon juice through a straw.

Bermudez took down the previous mark of 24 seconds on his second attempt, officially checking in with a ridiculous time of 22.75 seconds.

"My stomach is on fire, because there's a liter of lemon juice in my stomach, and I'm super full at this point," Bermudez told MMAjunkie's Steven Marrocco. "But they had the (record) there, so I'm like, 'That's gotta go home.'"

With a unanimous decision win over Tatsuya Kawajiri on Feb. 21, Bermudez sits at 15-5 for his MMA career.
