U.S. women's national soccer team re-signs head coach Jill Ellis

Jill Ellis will continue to coach the U.S. women's national soccer team.
The soccer program has re-signed the 48-year-old to a multi-year contract, according to Steven Goff of The Washington Post. Terms of the deal remain undisclosed.
The signing comes a month after the U.S. team won the Women's World Cup for the first time in 16 years.
A formal announcement will be made Wednesday, ESPN reports.
The team will play a 10-game victory tournament beginning on Sunday, Aug. 16.
