Finlay scores twice, Crew beat Red Bulls
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Kei Kamara set up Ethan Finlay's two goals, and the Columbus Crew rallied to beat the New York Red Bulls 2-1 on Saturday night.
The Kamara-to-Finlay connection was a role reversal for the league leaders in goals (Kamara 12) and assists (Finlay 10).
Finlay punched in Kamara's header to give Columbus the lead in the 74th minute. The Crew (6-6-6) held on from there and moved ahead of the Red Bulls (6-6-5) in the Eastern Conference standings.
Anatole Abang put the Red Bulls in front in the eighth minute, beating goalkeeper Steve Clark with a roller inside the far post.
Finlay tied it in the 33rd, taking a flick header from Kamara, cutting back and curling a left-footed shot into the net. Clark was credited with an assist on the long ball to Kamara.
Red Bulls coach Jesse Marsch was sent off in stoppage time.
