Sebastian Giovinco put Toronto FC on his back Saturday night.
In a match that was delayed nearly three-and-a-half hours because of a lightning strike and required almost five-and-a-half hours to be completed, Giovinco scored two phenomenal goals in a comeback attempt that fell just short against FC Dallas.
TFC found themselves trailing 3-0 when the weather forced the match to be halted in the 42nd minute. After the match resumed at 11:42 p.m. local time, Giovinco found the back the net in the 83rd minute before slotting home the most impressive of free kicks in the 89th minute.
The free kick marked Giovinco's third goal in five matches.
