The buildup was beautiful. The goal itself was not.
Toronto FC's fixture versus the Chicago Fire on Saturday saw Sebastian Giovinco score the first goal of his Major League Soccer career with a shot that capped off a 17-pass sequence from Greg Vanney's side.
After Joevin Jones gave Chicago an early lead, TFC equalised in the 20th minute by preaching patience, as their ball movement from one side of the pitch to the other led to Giovinco receiving a pass from Ashtone Morgan that he proceeded to shank through the legs of Jeff Larentowicz and past a sprawled-out Jon Busch.
