What a way to make your introduction on the season.
D.C. United midfielder Luis Silva made his first appearance of the year in Friday's match against Orlando City, coming on as a substitute in the 76th minute. Roughly 14 minutes later, he was being mobbed by teammates in celebration of a match-winning goal.
The 26-year-old delivered his side all three points in dramatic fashion, bending home a free kick in the opening minute of stoppage time to put D.C. atop the Eastern Conference standings.
