Los Angeles FC are officially into the playoffs.

Bob Bradley's side became the first to clinch a berth in the 2019 postseason on Saturday, securing a spot with a 2-0 win over Real Salt Lake.

That victory, coupled with FC Dallas' 3-3 draw against Montreal earlier in the day, means Carlos Vela and Co. can no longer mathematically finish outside the top seven in the Western Conference.

Vela opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 64th minute and Adama Diomande sealed victory with a goal in the 82nd minute.

Vela's spot kick gave him a combined 39 goals and assists on the campaign, setting a new league record.

LAFC have been the class of the field throughout the campaign. The MLS Cup favorites, who are also on course to bring home the Supporters' Shield, have scored more goals than any other team this season while also boasting the stingiest defense.

Powered by Vela, who leads the league in tallies, the Black and Gold are looking to follow in the footsteps of Atlanta United by taking home Major League Soccer's top prize in just their second season.
