Watch: Gonzalez own goal puts USMNT in precarious position

The United States men's national team is going to make its supporters sweat this one out, it seems.
An own goal by defender Omar Gonzalez in Tuesday's World Cup qualifier against lowly Trinidad and Tobago, the final match of the Hex, put the Americans 1-0 down at the Ato Boldon Stadium.
A loss wouldn't necessarily condemn the U.S. to missing the 2018 World Cup, but should the scoreline stand, the Americans would need results elsewhere to go their way to ensure they don't have to qualify for the tournament through the play-off - or worse - miss out on the competition entirely.
