New York City FC came from behind to secure a 2-1 win over the New England Revolution at Yankee Stadium on Sunday, with David Villa and Ben Sweat setting up Jonathan Lewis for a 94th-minute go-ahead goal.

Villa first plucked a long pass out of the air, and - foregoing a first-time shot at Cody Cropper's goal - picked out Sweat unmarked at the edge of the box. Sweat then switched the play over to Lewis, who fired home the game-winner with ease.

The Spanish striker scored the equalizing effort earlier in the second half to cancel out an opening goal by Teal Bunbury.

The Pigeons are now four points behind Toronto FC in the race for the Eastern Conference crown and the MLS Supporters' Shield. Each club has nine tilts left in the 2017 regular season.
