It took four matches, but Toronto FC star Sebastian Giovinco finally scored his first goal of the 2017 MLS season Saturday at BMO Field.
Giovinco clearly benefited from a fantastic backheel pass from teammate Jozy Altidore, but the diminutive Italian made a run of equal value before curling in the equaliser against Atlanta United.
The 30-year-old gave TFC an instant route back into the match after goalkeeper Alex Bono allowed Tito Villalba's shot to pass meekly through his gloves for the opener. It was a shocking howler from Clint Irwin's backup, although the visitor's advantage lasted just five minutes.
