Galaxy's Arena: No team separated itself during regular season
Following the regular season's conclusion on Sunday, LA Galaxy manager Bruce Arena said he thinks the 2016 postseason field is a model of parity, with no team separating itself from the pack of MLS Cup contenders.

FC Dallas might disagree, having walked away with the Supporters' Shield, but after seeing vital playmaker Mauro Diaz ruled out for the remainder of the campaign with an Achilles injury, there are questions about Dallas' ability to translate regular-season success into an MLS Cup win.

Arena's Galaxy finished third in the Western Conference, and will open the playoffs with a first-round fixture against Real Salt Lake on Wednesday, the ultimate goal being a fourth MLS Cup triumph in six seasons.
