Watch: Hope Solo's emotional reaction to USWNT termination

Video released Tuesday shows a distraught Hope Solo in the moments after learning she had been handed a six-month suspension and had her contract terminated by the U.S. women's national team.
"Terminated contract. Not just a suspension. Seventeen f---ing years and it's over," Solo says in the video, which was recorded for the upcoming docu-series "Keeping Score."
The 35-year-old was suspended Aug. 24 for what USWNT called "conduct that is counter to the organization’s principles," after referring to the Swedish national team as "cowards" in the aftermath of the Americans' quarter-final loss at Rio 2016.
