Bradley returns to Toronto FC lineup after lengthy injury absence
Toronto FC captain Michael Bradley made his much-awaited return to the starting XI for Saturday's match against the New England Revolution after recovering from a knee injury.
It's Bradley's first start for TFC since the May 21 contest against the Columbus Crew.
The 29-year-old U.S. international picked up the problem during the Copa America Centenario in June. He's missed the past 10 MLS matches as a result, only rejoining the rest of his TFC teammates in training this week.
Toronto has managed to negotiate tricky waters without its skipper, relying on the likes of Jay Champan, Marky Delgado, and newcomer Tosaint Ricketts to vault into second in the Eastern Conference.
The Reds could extend their winning streak to four matches with a victory over the Revolution on Saturday evening.
