Diamondbacks' Taijuan Walker: Strong return to mound Wednesday

Walker (5-3) allowed one run on six hits and a walk while striking out six over five innings in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Tigers.

Analysis:

He was held to 82 pitches (56 strikes) in his first start since coming off the DL, but Walker's blister issues didn't reoccur and he didn't seem to miss a beat after being out of the rotation since May 19. The 24-year-old now has a 3.32 ERA on the season, but he could have a hard time maintaining it in his next start Wednesday at Coors Field.
