Analysis:
Following a 2-for-3 performance in Sunday's opener against St. Louis, the 24-year-old Polanco agreed to a new contract that will keep him under club control through 2021. He's yet to live up to his top-prospect billing, but he did post a .276/.324/.425 slash line after the All-Star break last season in his first full year with the big club.
