Jose Fernandez took the mound for an intrasquad game Wednesday, and to say he looked in midseason form would be a huge understatement.

The Miami Marlins ace tossed two dominant innings at the club's spring complex, blowing away five batters in the process.

After getting his work in, Fernandez showed off his new racing bike, a hobby new hitting coach Barry Bonds - who has become an obsessive cyclist and investor in the sport since hanging up his cleats - will surely approve of.

Miami is expecting big things from the right-hander in his first full season back from Tommy John surgery.

He compiled a 6-1 record with a 2.92 ERA in 11 starts last year.
