Yovani Gallardo: Fails physical Tuesday
Gallardo had issues arise during his physical, meaning the Orioles could try to restructure his contract or back out of it entirely, Ken Rosenthal of MLB on FOX reports.
Analysis:
Gallardo and the Orioles had agreed to a three-year, $35 million contract last Saturday, but it's likely that will not stand following this news. Signing Gallardo means the Orioles would have to give up the 14th pick in this year's draft, so if he isn't fully healthy they may not be willing to take the risk. Gallardo's status with Baltimore should be more clear in the coming days.
