The San Francisco Giants have agreed to a minor-league contract with third baseman Conor Gillaspie, according to Baseball America's Matt Eddy.
Gillaspie, a supplemental first-round pick of the Giants in 2008, hit .228/.269/.359 with four homers and 24 RBIs in 75 games for the Los Angeles Angels and Chicago White Sox last season.
The 28-year-old will compete with Ehire Adrianza and Kelby Tomlinson for a role as a utility infielder with the big club this spring.
