Robbie Ross:
Ross and the Red Sox settled on a $1.25 million deal Friday, avoiding arbitration, John Heyman of MLB Network reports.
Analysis:
The lefty struggled at the start of 2015, posting a 6.17 ERA over his first 13 games leading to a couple of stints in Triple-A. It turned out to be a productive move for the Red Sox, as Ross closed out the remainder of the season with a 3.31 ERA over 41 games. Both parties are hoping he can ride this momentum into 2016 and remain an effective middle reliever.
