Shawn Tolleson agreed to a one-year, $3.275 million contract with the Rangers on Monday, avoiding arbitration, John Blake of the Texas Rangers reports.
Analysis:
Tolleson emerged as the Rangers closer last season after posting a 2.99 ERA and 1.15 WHIP with 35 saves in 37 tries. He should remain the Rangers main ninth inning option as long as he stays healthy and effective.
